2009 Indiana Education Transformation Conference

Bold choices, swift action and visionary leadership are required to create schools with as much potential as the students they serve. Indiana must forge ahead or risk falling behind when it comes to transforming education and its economy. No resource is more important to the future of our state than the knowledge and skills of today’s students.

Indiana’s Future: Bold Choices. Better Schools. brought together nearly 800 school administrators, teachers, community and business leaders, university faculty, and policy-makers to transform education across the state. Participants gathered cutting-edge information, innovative strategies, and useful resources from national experts and local leaders to improve educational opportunities in schools and communities throughout Indiana.

The 2009 conference included nearly 70 sessions on:

• Increasing academic achievement of diverse students in demanding times.
• Leading school change through innovation and collaboration.
