Indiana’s state motto is “The Crossroads of America,” which is fitting for a state redefining the possibilities of educational innovation. Indiana’s development of the New Tech model has attracted international attention and often the question “How’d they do that?” The answer is simple—leadership. Among the quiet cornfields and the active cities of Indiana lie true pioneers. Leaders willing to break new ground, forge ahead, and try something different. People with a vision of infinite educational possibilities. Innovators willing to be risky to do what’s right. As a result of those willing to take a chance, thousands of students are benefiting from a new model of education and a different way of learning—one that ultimately will prepare them as the new leaders of tomorrow.
