TAP™: The System for Teacher and Student Advancement employs an ongoing, meaningful evaluation system designed to elevate teaching effectiveness. Teachers are measured against the Teaching Skills, Knowledge, and Responsibilties Performance Standards, also known as the TAP™ Rubic, which is the backbone of TAP’s Instructionally Focused Accountability element. Teachers receive training on the standards and continuous feedback as to their successes and areas in need of refinement. The standards are based on educational psychology, cognitive science research, and extensive reviews of national and state teacher standards organization’s publications focused on learning and instruction.
