lar Survey Invitation
Please note this survey will close at midnight on Friday, September 19, 2014
CELL is conducting a study funded by Lilly Endowment Inc. to learn more about the use of co-curricular programs by K-12 central Indiana schools. For the purposes of this study, a co-curricular program is defined as an activity, program or learning experience that complements what students are learning at school in various content areas, college and career readiness topics, and/or character building opportunities through the experience of a field trip or supplemental program offered at the school site by an external organization or individual.
The goals of the study are to identify the types of programs that are most beneficial for students as well as the method in which teachers and school leaders would prefer the programs be offered or delivered. To participate in the study, administrators and faculty are invited to complete an online survey and/or volunteer to attend a focus group discussion. As an incentive to participate, one hundred schools (in the nine county central Indiana area) will receive a participation award of $250 to be used exclusively for the support of co-curricular programming by their school. The awards will be offered to those schools that have the highest response rate to the surveys and/or participation in focus group discussions.
In order to participate, a school must be an accredited traditional, charter or private school located in one of the following counties: Marion, Hamilton, Madison, Hancock, Shelby, Johnson, Morgan, Hendricks, and Boone.
We estimate that it will take approximately 15 minutes to complete this online survey. All responses will remain confidential.
