The first New Technology High School began in Napa, California, in 1996 as an answer to the frustrations of students, business leaders and communities demanding better educational options for today’s youth. Now more than 10 years later, one visionary school has led to 34 New Techs in nine states across the U.S. To prove the efficacy of the model and promote national expansion, New Technology Foundation has posted the results of several studies online based on information from the Napa and Sacramento schools.
