CELL Develops New Committees to Support New Tech Growth in Indiana
By Barbara Gillenwaters

CELL recently announced the launch of two new committees to expand support offered through the Indiana New Technology High School Network. The Professional Learning Community and Higher Education Committee are part of the network’s comprehensive plan to scale up and build capacity to support the growth of Indiana’s New Tech schools.

The Professional Learning Community brings members together to examine and address the professional learning needs of the network. The committee includes representatives from each New Tech school and other community, business, higher education, and government leaders. The Professional Learning Community will plan trainings and meetings for network members to exchange ideas and gather information to support Indiana’s New Tech schools.

The Higher Education Committee works closely with New Tech school communities to share innovative information and provide resources for school and staff development. The committee also supports local and regional demonstration sites to provide opportunities for people to experience the New Technology High School model.

To join the Professional Learning Community or Higher Education Committee, contact Trish Wlodarczyk, fellow for high school networks, at (317) 791-5708 or e-mail wlodarczykt@uindy.edu.
