The University of Indianapolis recently conducted a research study on the academic growth of charter school students compared to students in public schools. Based on the findings, the research report suggests students with achievement deficits enrolled at least two years in a charter school show greater academic growth when compared to similar students at traditional Indiana schools. The report was commissioned by Indiana Black Expo, the Indianapolis Urban League and the Dehaan Family Foundation.
