The university is committed to equipping new and current teachers and leaders with the skills to prepare all students for postsecondary education and a 21st-century world. The School of Education’s teacher and principal preparation programs are pairing faculty expertise with CELL’s initiatives to provide exceptional experience and education for future teachers and school leaders. These programs are developing the skill sets needed to impact learning in new school environments. To assist current teachers, the Office of Professional Development works with multiple school districts and hundreds of teachers to improve classroom instruction through enhanced learning opportunities. Through its nationally recognized programs, the School of Education provides an innovative curriculum and expert faculty dedicated to improving education throughout Indiana with the ultimate goal of developing teachers and school leaders equipped to enhance academic achievement and meet student needs.

The iLEAD Master of Arts in Educational Leadership program develops leaders equipped to work in today’s diverse schools. The program provides practical training to create school leaders with special expertise in the areas of curriculum, instruction and assessment.
Office of Professional Development
The Office of Professional Development, housed within the School of Education, provides professional development opportunities for Indiana teachers to improve classroom instruction and student learning with a specific emphasis on the areas of science and literacy.
